IE6 & opening word & Excel documents

Since upgrading to XP SP2 I've noticed that whenever I click on a link in
IE6 to a Word (.doc) document or an Excel (.xls) one the files open embedded
in the browser rather than opening Word or Excel to display them. This did
not happen pre SP2. It's an "improvement" I don't want.
Can anyone advise me how to turn it off?
