IE6 not opening Adobe files from certain servers

I have been uploading Adobe files to a particular server (www.beech-hill.com/foodarchive) using Contribute 3. My problem is that the files are not readable by IE6 but can be read by FireFox. The message that the file is corrupt appears as the browser tries to download the file. I know it is not my version of Adobe as I have uploaded files to other servers, albeit not using Contribute 3, and they open fine (http://www.monmouthplantation.com/contents/index.php?PG=reviews.html&nav_id=42/50) .
Today I downloaded Dream Weaver 8 in the hope that it was a Contribute 3 problem - no such luck - same issue. What is wrong? It seems to be a problem with IE 6 as it is happening on other machines too, or does anyone think I may have a server problem? HELP !!
