IE6 Locks up when playing games on Yahoo

I got a new computer with Windows XP and downloaded Java from Sun
Microsystems. Every time I play a game on yahoo I have to do a control alt
delete to shut down internet explorer. If I try to switch games it also
freezes up. I also noticed in the system tray that there may be up to 10 of
the little coffee cups. My other computer doesn't have these problems. What
can I do?

It seems that a lot of Java-based games on Yahoo work better with
Microsoft's Java VM. This site explains how you can get it:
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers/14.html Then switch to MS Java in IE's
Tools...Internet Options...Advanced tab, or via the Java applet in Control
Panel (Start...Settings...Control Panel).

If you are still having problem with your monitor freezing up, there could
be a problem with your video card. Update it with the latest drivers from
the card manufacturer's web site. As a work-around, reducing the color
depth, screen resolution or hardware acceleration may also help. (If it
does, then new drivers for your video card are in order.)
