Please help. I've downloaded and ran both Spybot and Ad-Adware, but even after I reset my home page it still periodically returns to something called "findthewebsiteyouneed.com." Also, something called "dotcomtoolbar" keeps popping up and tries to affix itself to my toolbar. I'm about to punch a wall. Thanks, all

ie6 kept changing the homepage on every reboot. None of the software really did the job except CWShredder. It is free to download and it works really well

Hi,

I agree with walkers. It might be a good idea to try CWShredder and
HijackThis from http://www.spywareinfo.com/

Kind regards

Bobby,
Your Antivirus should have caught at least part of that?
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=JAVA_NEEDY.A&VSect=T
AVG detects this as: "BackDoor.Afcore.AL"
http://www3.ca.com/virusinfo/virus.aspx?ID=36651

This type infection indicates an unpatched machine!
Please visit Windows Update *after* cleaning your machine.

Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.
