Hi,

One of our users had something strange with his history in
IE6 : only a file is displayed (desktop.ini). If i delete
all the files in the History folder and then restart IE,
History works normally (so we see today's list) but as
soon as we logoff the user and login again, IE history
diplay again only the desktop.ini file
I cannot understand, please help !
Many thanks in advance....

History problems can be caused by the ActiveX Control filters in McAfee
AntiVirus. If you disable the "Active X Controls" filter under the Internet
Filters in VirusScan the IE History should work properly.

Or... Your History folder may be damaged.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder and a new one will be created when you restart.

Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
See: How To Delete the Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files:

Hope this helps,
Don
