IE6 has encountered a problem.....

If I try to open IE6 all I get is the window saying it
has encountered a problem, needs to close, and would I
like to tell Microsoft about it. Trying to reinstall, I
have downloaded ie6wzd.exe, but on running that get 'the
procedure entry point CoInternetGetSession could not be
located in the dynamic link library urlmon.dll' whatever
that means. Any attempt at Microsoft help just tries to
open IE6 and so on and so on. Anyone able to help?
