IE6 e-mail support

G

Gregg

I use IE6 and Yahoo e-mail. Recently, (after some problems
uninstalling/reinstalling Norton Systemworks 2004), the
appearance of my yahoo e-mail changed (looked like windows
in "safe" mode) and, while I could open messages, I could
not reply to to them. After removing and reinstalling IE6
(via reinstalling Win 98 second edition) -Now my e-mail
will not even open. I just get an error message. Also, I
can not open my alternate Hotmail account. Otherwise, the
browser works fine - just not for e-mail. Note- My other
computer using the same ISP works fine.

I hope this is enough information. If not, let me know.
Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

Dealing with Hijackware

I highly recommend using HijackThis to identify and assist in the removal of
these bad guys. **Post your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not
here.**

NB: If you have ever downloaded HijackThis or CWShredder, it is urgent that
you upgrade to the latest versions before using them again. Due to a new
variant of the CWS Trojan, using either HijackThis or CWShredder on an
infected Win98 or WinME computer may lead to severe damage to that computer.
You must update to the very newest versions of these programs before using
either of them again, and you should get a new copy of CWShredder before
each and every use.

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
