IE6 cannot open websites but Netscape can

I usually use IE6. It worked without any problems until
recently. now IE6 can't open any websites. to add to my
confusion, netscape can open any website and I can still
use instant messengers. If anyone can help me out e-mail
me at (e-mail address removed)
