IE6 Browser problem question?

I have updated my work PC with windows update which
included IE6.

After doing this I find my web browser freezes up
constantly.
Also certain links do not work, or will freeze all web
function.
The standard windows globe in the upper right hand corner
that spins while thinking is spinning extremely fast.

Browsing the www is almost impossible.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
