Hi Ges,

Thanks for the posting. I did research and found the folowing article:

CAUSE
===========
This issue can occur if your Internet Explorer connection settings are not
configured properly, or if you are not currently connected to the Internet.

RESOLUTION
==============
To resolve this issue, verify that your Internet Explorer connection
settings are configured properly, or connect to the Internet:

If you are not connected to the Internet, skip to step 2. If you are
connected to the Internet, verify your connection settings are configured
properly. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu,
and then click the Connections tab.
Connect to the Internet manually, or run the Internet Connection wizard to
create a connection to the Internet.
For additional information about the Internet Connection Wizard, please see
the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
159686 Manual Setup for Internet Explorer 3.x and 4.x for Windows 95/98

STATUS
========
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products
that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION
======================
This can also occur if you are using America Online (AOL) as your Internet
service provider (ISP) and you are not currently connected to AOL, or if
Internet Explorer is not correctly configured to browse the Web through
AOL. In Internet Explorer 5, click Internet Options on the Tools menu,
click the Connections tab, click LAN Settings, and then change the setting
for the Automatically Detect Settings check box to the opposite of the
current setting. Click OK until all dialog boxes are closed, and then quit
and restart Internet Explorer.

Thanks,

The first thing to consider is whether or not you've made any changes to
your system prior to this incident. If so, revert to your original state
and retry. Second thing is to verify that you still have a connection to
"the internet": can you send/receive email? Can you access any other sites?
Do you use an instant messanging program (eg ICQ)....can it connect?
There are a few other slightly more advanced things you could try but if the
above did not work your best bet would probably be to contact your ISP to
find out if they are experiencing any problems.

make sure you are not working off line (on the file drop
down menu)uncheck it if you are. there could be many
reasons. try rebooting and going back on line and use a
different search engine.
