when i go to click on IE...a "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience..." When i click on " to see what data this error report contations".... Appname: iexplore.ext...Appver 602800.1106 ModName: ntdll.dll Modver: 5.1.2600.1217 Offset 00019ecd....is what appears. I went and searched for the mod....removed it from my System 32 folder and eventually deleted it. This solved my problem...or so I thought. Came back on tonight and same problem reoccurs Except this time when i try to do the same remove and delete trick its not working because the file reappears BY ITSELF. ANY HELP on this would be very appreciated. Ive looked everywhere on internet explorer's website and cant find anything on this problem. thx. PS if you can please send a reply to my email.

I have had the exact same problem and also need help. Have you found the answer? I did the same fix before it shut down again and won't open. Reinstalling IE 6 Service pack 1a didn't fix it the second time even after changing the registry to allow it to reinstall. PC Doc also won't fix it.

Do you have nvidia? Disable desktop manager.

I have a similar problem. IE6 Crashes on Launch every time
for me. I am on Win2000 platform and when the windows error
message dialog comes up I get prompted see what data this
error report contains:

Appname: Iexplore.exe
Appver 602800.1106
ModName: winshow.dll
Modver: 1.0.0.6
Offset 00005767

I've tried reinstalling and I have the latest build of
Win2000 and security patches. What the hell ? This is
messing me up big time as I need IE for several business uses.

Did you get any help on how to correct ?
