IE won't remember settings

Hi, for the past few days my IE (version 6) hasn't been
remebering my toolbar settings. I disable the search box,
make it so the standard buttons only have select text on
right, and I change the order of a few things. It
remembers my settings as long as my computer is on but
after I restart my computer it's back to all the defaults
again. I tried reinstalling IE and that didn't seem to do
anything. What can I do now?
