IE Won't Launch Typed URLs from Address Bar

About a week ago I started encountering the following:

When I type an address in the address bar and hit <enter> the typed URL
becomes highlighted (blue) and nothing else happens. Normally hitting
<enter> would launch the site.

I have scanned my entire PC with updated versions of:
Trend Micro House Call
Norton Internet Security
SpyBot Search and Destroy
Webroot Spysweeper

No viruses or adware/malware found.

What next?

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

I am also having this problem, but only with Internet Explorer 7 Betas,
including the March distro and the April 24th distro.
Any word on resolution, yet?
