IE hangs when typing URL

I'm running IE6 SP1 on Windows 2000. Something has changed that is causing a
problem, but only when I type in a URL. If I type in a URL in the address
bar and hit enter, the globe starts spinning and will never come back.
However, if I select any website from history, favorite, or a link from
another website, it is fine. So, the problem only exists on URL's typed in
and affects all websites then.

I've run Norton Anti-virus 2006 scan, ad-aware and spybot, all say nothing
is wrong. I did run automatic updates the other day, so I kind of suspect
that.

It can't be long now before the re-release.

Now may not be the time to learn Regedit.
I suggest you use a .reg file already done for the purpose.

For XP
http://patch-info.de/WinXP/Downloads/KB908531_Share-To-Web.zip
Unzip it, extract the .reg file to a folder, right-click it and select
Merge and confirm when asked.

For Windows 2000 systems

Download it, right-click it and select Merge and confirm when asked.

Thanks! I removed the Share to Web as I never use it, and problem is fixed.
I also see that maybe the re-release is today. Thanks again!
