IE will not load a webpage when from other programs' links

After I installed SP2 on my computer, a small problem
occured. Let's say I'm reading an email and in the body
of the email is a link to a website...if I click the
link, and IE window will pop up, but nothing will even
attempt to load. There will just be a blank window. Or
let's say that I built a website and want to test the
links in it. If I click on the link, an IE window will
pop up, but nothing will load. Sometimes, I've noticed,
when I click on a microsoft-related link, or when I try
to run Windows Update, 2 IE windows will pop up, with
nothing in either one of them.

What do you think is the problem?? I know it has
something to do with activeX or Java, but I don't know
beyond that.

Hi, I'm having the same problem and have been on 2-3
different forums and I can't get an answer to the
problem.. Sorry I can't help, but if I find out I'll let
