IE version 6 script error

I get the following popup message every time I open IE:

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run
slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become
unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? YES/NO.


I have .0 on XP. I am having a hard time getting rid of
please, HELP!

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
