IE toolbar shortcuts present but blank

In IE 6 toolbar, I have shortcuts to Word, Excel, etc.
When running cursor over them, I am told what they are.
And they do work. It's just the shortcuts are blank so
unless I run my cursor over them, I would not know they
were there. How do I make shortcuts visible again in
toolbar?

Do you mean the Links toolbar? If so, you can right-click the shortcut and
select Rename. If that doesn't work, delete the shortcut and then create it
again.
