IE tab not disppearing

Even though I close the Internet Explorer (6.0) window, the tab(or
name) remains in the status bar. This tab disappears only when I
reboot.

Do you have the Live (or MSN) toolbar installed? If so check for an
update... http://toolbar.live.com Orphaned IE windows was a symptom of early
releases of these toolbars (and also the Yahoo toolbar with tabbed browsing)

I do not have MSN toolbar. I have yahoo toolbar. even if I hide this
yahoo toolbar still the problem plerisists. any further comments?

ROB that seems to work. I downloaded the update and now it is ok. hope
the improvement will sustain. thanks a lot
