IE stopping animated-gifs cycle and images load when clicking on a link

Hi:
IE stops the load of new images and the cycle of animated
gifs when clicking on a link wich doesn't moves you to
another page (usually a javascript function is called when
the anchor is clicked).
This is very common in forums and their emoticons lists.
Usually when you click on a emoticon the image is added to
the post <textarea> using javascript, but the animated
gifs stop moving and if the page was loading any images,
the load stops aswell.

Regards.

As you did not post the version of Windows or IE you are using, I can only
make a general guess. You might try the following and see if it helps

Try upgarding your video card. Next:

To download the Microsoft Java VM for Windows XP from
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Go to the Windows Update Site (Start/All Programs/Windows Update/Personalize
Windows Update/Enable the Windows Update Catalog. Save Settings. Select
Windows Update Catalog from the left hand pane/Select Find updates for
Microsoft Windows systems from the right hand pane/Select Windows XP/Search.
Select Critical Updates and Service Packs.
Select the March 4th Security Update as it contains Windows XP VM.

Or you can download it from one of these locations:

http://www.download.windowsupdate.c..._CD24D109B33421DB6728FBDC80C9F572EB7A3865.exe
or
http://ftp.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/systems/win95/fixes/VM/msjavx86.exe
or
ftp://ftp.uq.edu.au/mirror/microsoft/patches/winxp/javavm_3319_MIL_4275/MSJavx86.exe

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
