IE starts up empty and tools do not respond

Internet explorer 6 for Win XP is coming up with a blank
page and when I try to go to any site it is still blank
including going to tools and Windows update. It is not
giving an error message.

This is on a laptop w/ wireless and it can connect w/ the
wireless but does not work for the direct connection to
the NIC. I have tried a system rollback but that did not
work. Reinstalled the NIC drivers but still seem to
be "Blocked" Any Ideas?

I managed to find my own answer. I had to roll the
system software settings back to February. Then I found
and uninstalled this IEFeats. Nasty little bug. Once I
did that IE was able to work. Then I installed Spybot
Search & destroy w/ its updates cleaned out a lot more.
The side effect is my friend will have to reinstall the
programs he had set up after that time. But his data
should be safe and he will just have to restore the
programs.
