IE stalls for about 30 seconds

IE stalls about every 2 minutes for 30 seconds. The browser freezes and will
not do anything, then it is back to normal then it stalls again. It is
really annoying. What can I do?

I have Windows XP Home.

I have ran adaware and spybot and they have not helped with the problem. Any
other suggestions?

Thanks

It often takes many tries with many different removal programs before all
malware is successfully removed. Sometimes, no amount of removal software
will fix an infected computer. In that event, your only recourse is to wipe
your hard disk clean and start over.

Hi TJinIN,
check for the add-ons in IE. Go to Tools>Internet Options>Programs.
Click the button "Manage Add-ons" and see which add-ons you do not recognise
or looks like a nastie e.g., has an unusual big name with lots of digits and
letters, publisher "not verified" and did not come with any known software
like not with yahoo, not with java, not with acrobat etc. If you find any
such add-on disable them. Restart IE and see what happens. If the problem is
still there try different adware, spyware removing tool like Microsoft
AntiSpyware, CWShredder. Then try to flush your dns resolving cache by typing
"ipconfig /flushdns"(without quotes) in cmd.
Hope this helps.
