IE shuts down, no error message given.

About one week ago, Internet Explorer just began shutting
down in the middle of browsing. Now it won't even open; it
just flashes quickly and closes automatically.

This is the only thing I could find on it:

Unfortunately, it does not propose any ways of dealing with
the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
