IE Search Assistant Problem

When clicking on the Search button on the toolbar, the search window pops up
but it's blank. Clicking on New does nothing. Clicking on Custom brings up
an IE Script Error box:

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Is this from scumware or has the search assistant been disabled in favor of
the new msn search?
