IE Script Errors-w/shut off

Had some previous insight from MVP and others, but thread was dropped so I'll
ask again. I get Script Errors, "Line 77, Object Expected, etc." with
debugging off, and show error messages not checked. I have Adaware, Spybot,
McAfee, WC Shredder, Zone Alarm and ran all in both regular XP and Safe Mode.
I went to Kelly's-Korner and downloaded a supposed Script Error fix, but I
still get error messages. And they repeat, I.e. I get "line 77", type "no"
and the message switches to "line 4" after I've said I don't want to continue
running script. I'm baffled. Now, this is an older 450 meg machine, but
very functional, though not a speedster. Old bios, running my video card
with a different manf. driver, kind of cobbled together, but it seems the
problem is in XP and should not be caused by my machine. Any ideas?

In menu of IE:

Tools -- Options -- Advanced tab -- mark two "Disable script debugging..."
checkboxes.

Please read my message more carefully. I have checked disable script
debugging and unchecked show error messages, duh! Sorry, frustrated. I've
done the obvious, but still bugged by script errors. I just went to ebay,
and got the message "don't recognize ebay" in the script error message,
repeated for 5 0r 6 script lines. I couldn't even search for things because
the same error message kept popping up when I hit "Search". Thanks Mikhail.

I do not get the message shown in the kb article you mention. I guess my
question boils down to; why do I get script errors when they are clearly
disabled? Is Windows XP so disfunctional that it ignores what I have set in
IE options? By the way, when I went to the kb article, I hit the "options"
button, and there were only two entries, none of which allowed my to get to
the "internet options" - "advanced" tabs, but only while I was on that page.
I'm so frustrated.....Mozilla anyone?
