IE Really SLOW

So this is weird. We have an internal website (Apache on Linux) that we host
our imaging website on. Just getting to the login screen takes like 20
seconds in IE6 and IE7. When I use Firefox 2.0 it opens right up. I have NO
desire to deploy Firefox so does anyone have ANY idea where I should be
looking? I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hangup is. BTW when
I VPN from my home PC (MCE) running IE7 its WAY fast. What is up with my work
PCs?

Hi Patrick,
No firm ideas or experience, but seems to be a connection issue maybe. Check
your connection properties on the Internet Options.
Have you tried IE7 with the UserAgent String Utility?

I don't know what the Browser version string would have to do with it, just
a guess as I said.

Not realy Patrick,
Try a tracert to ascertain the routing times?

The Fiddler tool may be able to help you troubleshoot.

This is something basic that may help. I am not 100 percent sure it will
totally resolve your issue. In Internet Explorer Under tools go to internet
options and then delete temporary internet files with delete all offline
files checked. Click clear history. This will clear out your browser cache
speeding things up a bit. Do this once a week.
