IE6 has written a read-only folder to the root of my D drive and thrown a bunch of dll's in there along with
an Update subfolder. Can I safely delete this? And how do I clear the read-only flag? I can't do it in the
Properties dialog. Thanks

Do not worry about the Read-only flag.

How do you know it was IE6?

What's the path and the folder names?

For example, C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Connection Wizard

What are some of the .dll file names?

Hope this helps. Let us know.

I can tell by filenames it must be IE6. There are 36 files in the folder which start with ie, including
iesetup.dll, ie4unit.exe, ie4unit.exe.mui. Six filenames start with msfeeds. I would like to move this to my
usb drive and test to see if ie runs properly but how do I get "permission" from the system to do so. My
account does have administrator priveleges on this machine but the Read-only status of the folder has me
stymied.

Read-only means nothing for folders.

msfeeds.dll is from Internet Explorer 7.
