IE problems (What else is new?)

Every time my son gets on his account for windows and he
opens internet explorer, there is an error message. This
error message reads as follows, "Failed to get data
for 'b'... What can I possibly do to fix this problem?

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
