Windows XP IE problem

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have Windows XP installed on my computer. My Internet Explorer gives the following error message when I try to open some web sites.

AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModeName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180
Offset: 0001eb33

I have already tried to install newer version of IE(IE 7 and 8), however I still receive the same error message. What may be the reason and what should be done?
