IE privacy settings - always allow/block

Policy for IE Maintenance is not taking effect for
setting cookies:

Policy Location:
User\Windows Settings\IE Maintenance\Security\Security
Zones & Content Ratings

Then choose "Import" and "Modify Settings"
Go to the Privacy tab, and choose Edit (at the
bottom)
Add the sites that are to be allowed/blocked

These settings are not taking place at all.

The policy is definitly working (for any other
settings)...even settings in IE Maintenance (such as
general Privacy settings). So replication has taken
place and the correct policy is being applied.

Client side is either Win2K or XP (both Pro).
Server is Win2K Standard.
If I do a local GP, the cookie settings (done in exactly
the same manner) work immediately.

Has anyone seen this?
Is there something special about IE cookie policies?

Hello Arjen,

You may want to post this to an IE group.

Here is something I found that may help to tshoot this:

You can also add a site to allow or block cookies based on the site,
regardless of the privacy policy on the Web site, those registry keys are
stored here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\P3P\History
