How do I see what plug-ins I have in my IE?
Can I remove some if I don't want them there?

Thank you.

IE does not have a in-built feature to list the loaded plugins. Windows XP SP2 will have this add-on management facility which shows both
installed plugins as well as the ones which are loaded into memory. The plugins are Toolbars, Extensions, Browser Helper Objects & the ActiveX [Downloaded ProgramF iles]

You may want to have a look at ToolbarCop which covers the first three and not the ActiveX controls:
Toolbarcop: http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/toolbarcop.htm

Hijackthis lists out all of the above browser extensions and more......To know the exact locations where the plugins are installed, read MSDN article on BHO [for BHOs] implementation.
