I was trying a free subscription to download 100 mp3
files. I said yes and a product installed, which now
overrides my internet explorer. It is called mp3 plugin .

How do I get rid of it?

Install and run SpyBot Search & Destroy or Lavasoft's
Ad-ware. If no joy, run "Hijack This" - instructions
