I know that i should post this in the IE newsgroup but i
never get any answers there so ill post it here.
I have been having this problem where i have two
instances of IEXPLORE.exe in task manager processes tab.
This wouldnt really be a problem but it interferes with
me opening a new window. It makes where ever i lauched
the new window from freeze, whether it be msn messenger
or quicklaunch on the taskbar or my favorites from the
start menu, the only thing it doesnt affect is ctrl n or
right click new window. When i end one of the instances
of IEXPLORE.exe it unfreezes and starts working. Also, I
noticed when i end the process that is using from 10,000
to 15,000 k (under mem usage) that will prompt my
internet connect alert to say if i wish to stay on and it
give me 30 seconds to decide. If i end the one using the
most memory everything goes without a hitch. Any help
would be appreciated. I dont believe its a virus but who
knows it might be even though my scan this morning and
the rest of the week have been no viruses. (i scan when
idle 6 minutes)
