Have Windows Me and IE6. About a month ago, IE began opening up by itself
every day at 5:58 PM and dials up to my home page. I have done all I know to
do--run virus scans, adware scans, registry error scans, double-checked task
scheduler and deleted programs I thought might be the problem. Nothing has
worked. If I try something, I have to wait until the next evening, at 5:58,
to see if I was successful (which I haven't been). I've tried resetting the
display time to trick it into thinking it was 5:58 but it won't do it then.
I've got a Dell computer and their only solution was to check "Never Dial a
Connection", but that only covers up a symptom and doesn't address the
problem, which has only started about the first part of last month.
