IE - one popup is overwriting contents of another popup...

Hi,

We are using IE 6.x with all latest patches. The problem explained below is
found both in Win2K Professional or Win XP.

We have an application, when connected, will open a new window with
maximized display and closes the parent window. This concept and the
application is working fine, except when user opens another browser window
with a different pop-up.

To explain further, assume that a user has connected to the application
(running in Intranet). It opens a new browser window with Login screen and
closes the parent window. Then the user opens an all new IE instance (from
desktop or quick launch toolbar)tries to browse a site that pops up
advertisements (for e.g., yahoo, msn), the pop up advertisement of that site
is overwriting the contents of the application window.

When I try to simulate this on my PC, it works perfectly fine, with the
advertisement opening in a new window than overwriting the contents of the
application window.

Does anyone has any idea why IE behaves this way and is there a way to
resolve this?

Thanks for the help.
