I suspect this may be some kind of browser hijack. My boss has a
computer that he uses for internet at home. When he goes to a website
(doesn't matter which when this problem happens), sometimes he'll see a
Command Line window open up and close quickly, and the page will refuse
to load. I suspect his browser may be hijacked, because when it
happens, IE won't work, Norton Security won't work, nothing.

We scanned using Norton, AVG, Ewido, Spybot, Windows Live Onecare and
Ad-aware, but nothing comes up.

Rebooting SOMETIMES helps.

Have you done the scans in safe mode. Also there are other nasties which
these tools don't find. Here is a link for checking for malware.

It would be best if Boss works on resolving the problems himself.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

forums for expert analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
