IE Not loading links and not printing

I have a number of problems. First when I try to follow a
link on a web page the box opens but just hangs there
with nothing opening up.
The second thing is that I cannot print anything when
using an IE window. I get the following error message.

'Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occured in the script on this page

Error: Interface not registered

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page.'

Can anyone assist. I have tried re-installing IE 6 but I
just get told that I have a newer version already
installed. I have tried deleting the IE 6 but can't.
Please help!!

Try to disable third-party browser extensions in Internet Explorer. Follow
these steps:
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires
restart) check box.
5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
