Can't print from IE 6...

Windows XP SP2
IE 6 SP 1

Started occurring this morning. Nothing on this workstation has changed for
over eight months now.

Every single time I attempt to print from a web page, I get the following
error:

-------------------------
Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 228
Char: 1
Error: Interfact not registered
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
-------------------------

Also, it is not at all related to MS article ID: 811165 as I have never had
an application installed on my workstation called "Surfairy" (I've never even
heard of that one) and my "Enable third-party browser extensions" has always
been unchecked.

I also have Firefox, Opera, Netscape, and Mozilla installed and none of them
are affected...they all work just fine and dandy.

Any ideas?

Thanx.

Hi Steven :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

You may need to update your printer driver. Go to the website for your
printer and download and install the most recent driver for that printer for
your OS.

also..

Unable to print

and...

This error can be caused by adware. Do the following:

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab
Uncheck the option for "Enable third-party browser extensions"
Click Apply
Click OK
Close the browser.
Restart the browser and attempt to print

If this resolves your problem, then you have some form of scumware on your
system, so you need to do the following to clean it from your system:

Hope this helps.
