IE Maximized Window Problems

A few days ago, I went to a website and it resized one of
my windows. Since then, I haven't been able to maximize
my window properly. When I click to Maximize the IE
window, the maximized window is shifted down a bit,
leaving some blank space at the top of the screen, and
causing the status bar to be hidden below and under the
taskbar. Since this screen is "maximized", I can't shift
the window up a bit or anything. When I don't have the
window maximized, it behaves as normal.

I've done a virus scan, rebooted, and even used the IE
Repair Utility and the window still is like this. All
else appears normal. None of my other programs are
exhibiting this anomaly, and maximized properly. What's
wrong? This is the 1st time this has ever happened.

Kelly has a fix at line 60, right "correct IE window placement"

I was pulling my hair out over this exact problem. The final fix was
running a program called "Spybot - Search and Destroy" in Advanced
mode. You can download it from download.com
