IE loud popping sound

Whenever I load certain pages I get a loud popping sound (hard to describe -
perhaps I should say a loud boink,very high pitched!).

There are a couple or more pops after http://www.cbs.com/ loads for example.

I have pop-up blockers - all are set to no sound.
I am running XP IE 6.0.29

Very annoying when I am trying to listen to music or web broadcast. Any
ideas?

Do you have PestPatrol? I've read it makes a sound like water dripping when
it blocks a pop-up. Although you did say you have turned off all the
sounds...

It was Pest Patrol, never thought of it because the icon wasn't visible from
the system tray. Thanks.
