IE link acknowledgement click sound

The standard "click" sound that you hear when selecting a
link on a website has turned off. I cannot find where to
restore this. I have rebooted, of course, but this didn't
help.

Any suggestions?

Hi -

How about Control panel>Sounds>scroll to the "windows explorer"
section>start navigation & end navigation are the ones in
question>highlight>Sound dropdown>select sound desired>apply>OK out.
