IE Icon will NOT launch

When I double click the IE icon on my desktop, it will
not launch the IE browser. Why does this happen and can
anyone point me in the right direction to fix this.
Please give me any ideas you have, I will sort through
them and find the best solution.

Hi Tony,

Start > Run > Type "iexplore.exe" and hit Enter. Does IE open? Can you
launch IE from the program files\internet explorer folder? If so, delete IE
icon on your desktop and create new shortcut. Right-click on iexplore.exe
from Internet Explorer folder > Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).
