Hi,
I have a problem where my home page in IE is being
altered.
I recall that there is a a way of protecting it against
change but cannot remember how.

Any Ideas?
TIA
Gaz

To stop future hijacks try this:

1) remove the spyware
2) set IE to your home page
3) start regedit
4) goto HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel
5) add a DWORD Value "HomePage"
6) set the value to 1

This will lock your home page and prevent hijacks. To
change your home page just reset the value to zero first.

Alternatively, you could download the even more
effective 'spybot search and destroy' from
www.download.com and attempt to clean your computer that
way/ The program includes an option to lock your start
page and inhibit alterations by rogue programs.

ata.
