IE history

I have had a problem with Internet Explorer for some time. I set the
history option to save the history for 21 days, but IE is only saving sites
in history for 2 or 3 days and if it is restarted or the computer is
restarted, it often starts over.

I am also using AOL Explorer and it only saves history while it is open.
Restarting it starts history over.
