IE has encountered a problem and needs to close....

After disabling "Enable 3rd party browser extentions" in
the IE Properties menu, I got the Internet back, but now
cannot access secured sites (https). Any experience with
this?

Milt,
Disabling "Enable 3rd party browser extentions" is an
emergency/troubleshooting measure. You should remove the malware which
caused the original problem, then re-enable browser extensions.
