I like many others here recently am getting this error
message and my IE 6.0 will not work at all. I have to use
Netscape to access the internet now. I have tried
everything I can think of and everything microsoft.com
suggests. Anyone know what's going on??

I have the same problem on two different computers. Doing
a repair with the original XP disc does not work. You
could try reinstalling, than reinstalling all your programs
or do the next best thing down load Netscape 7.1 for free.
It comes with its own popup stopper. Using IE you get
more popups than searches. Netscape is great.

The IE Error Report generates a "appcompat.txt" file.
This can usually be found in:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp\

Paste the contents (if found) in your next message.

I have the same issue with IE6/Win XP and have tried everything I can
think of to resolve. I have re-installed IE6 to no avail. Errors are
as follows:
AppName:iexplore.exe
AppVer:6.0.2800.1106
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217
Offset: 0003381b

I can use IE on 1 user account and not on the other (both
administrators). I have no choice but to move to Netscape, which
causes GREAT pain in my app development efforts. Any help GREATLY
appreciated.
