Sorry if this has been asked before but I have spent 2 days now going around
in circles and am no further forward. I upgraded my laptop from XP to Vista
Home Premium using the Upgrade disk, since then my laptop is dreadfully slow
and it freezes whenever I try to close a program or download anything. I have
80gb hard drive and 1014MB memory, a 1.6GHz Intel dual core processor. I
looked into this before upgrading and it seemed like I should be OK. Has
anyone any ideas PLEASE??? My next step will be to uninstall and go back to
XP but I have just looked into that and it scares the life out of me! I would
not know where to start partitioning and formatting the hard drive,HELP!!!!!!
Please!!

Hi Kathryn,

I notice that you have used the upgrade disk of Windows Vista. There is
nothing wrong with that, but you might need to approach your upgrade in a
slightly different way. If you refer to the post 'Activation error Home
Premium UG over WinXP Prof', also in this newsgroup, you will find
instructions on using upgrade media to clean install. Hopefully this will
solve your problem.
