IE crashes

I find that IE (v 7) crashes periodically at the most inopportune times and I
get an error message such as:
Event Type: BEX P1: iexplore.exe P2: 7.0.6000.16544 P3 46c2535f
P4: matrix.dll P51.0.0.1 P6: 474391e4 P7: 0002012f
P8: c0000409 P9: 00000000

I am running XP home on a Dell dimension 9135. Any suggestions why this
happens and how do I fix it would be gratefully appreciated............Thanks.
