Been having problems with IE crashing, code oxc0000005. The weird
thing is that I get the message that IE needs to close, but then when
I click Close, it closes only the latest IE window, leaving the other
windows open and working normally. Any ideas? Thanks!

Search Google, lots of information about this code there . . .

Yep, done that, haven't found anything that helps much...

More info, for what it's worth - the crash almost always happens first
thing in the morning, after coming out of the overnight power suspend.
The first site I click on opens normally. It usually crashes when I
click on a second site, no matter what that second site is. Weird.
