I've been using content ratings on several systems @ work and was wondering
if MS was in the midst of developing a more reboust version? Currently, CR
has issues with Javascripts and even after trying to allow access, every
javascript popup generates a Content advisor has blocked access error (even
though they are allowed to see the page) and the user is able to see the
page but must acknowledge the message. Do you know of a fix for this?
Also, with the use of wildcards, (i.e. *.microsoft.com), is this a fully
supported option? It seems that when I tried it, I had to go back and add
the individual sites to it (i.e. msn.microsoft.com). Is this perhaps just a
glitch or is there more to it than that?
And why is www.msn.com allowed access even after I deny the site in content
ratings? I ended up having to manually add the site to the hosts file to
prevent the users from accessing it!
Am I just going nuts for no reason? I'm using Coontent ratings on W2k and
XP systems with IE 5.5 - 6.0.
Thanks!
