IE cannot open PDF files

I just downloaded Acrobat reader 6.0 and since then, I
cannot open PDF files in the browser, I only see a square
with three little geometric figures in the left upper
corner. Any ideas?

Don't know if it will help but the Acrobat Reader is up to version 6.02
